CARLOS GARDEL:

DIALOGUE WITH THE KING OF TANGO

The exceptional voice of Carlos Gardel, the “King of Tango,” still moves people today, despite the crackling of time at the drop of the needle. But who was he really beyond the legend? In a poetic and passionate atmosphere, baritone Pierre Rancourt delivers a sonic and visual dialogue with the fascinating man who first brought tango to the world.

“Dans les souliers de Félix” WORKSHOP

What do Félix Leclerc and newly arrived students in Quebec have in common? That’s what we try to answer in these workshops, offered to Montreal-area high schools participating in the Linguistic, Academic and Social Integration Program (ILSS), as well as to clients of community organizations working with newcomers. Through Félix’s work, these young people discover not only French and Quebec culture, but also their own creative force. They come away with a sense of pride in both their native and adopted cultures.

In collaboration with the Ministère de l’Éducation (Culture à l’école program), École secondaire Calixa-Lavallée, École secondaire Aux Mille-Voix, École secondaire d’Anjou, and Une école montréalaise pour tous.
